Gary Brown, owner of GB Driveways has invaluable experience spanning three generations; working alongside his Brother Fred Brown and also his late Father-In-Law Brian Turner, Gary is lucky to have been part of a variety of projects covering East Anglia and it’s surrounds.
In 1999 Gary’s son (also named Gary) joined the family business, further cementing GB Driveways solid reputation within the Tarmac/Resurfacing industry.
GB Clients include Developers, local Authorities, Schools, Home Owners and Property Management & Commercial Organisations across East Anglia, they provide highly competitive prices and expansive industry experience, always going the extra mile to satisfy customer requirements.
All Operatives are fully trained and up to date with current Health & Safety legislation.
To this day GB Driveways remain a reputable, reliable and hardworking organisation, with projects being handled efficiently and smoothly from initial discussion through to completion. Even offering a Traffic Management Service for those bigger jobs, making sure all bases are covered for a smooth ‘all-round’ service.
Prior to work being carried out, the area needs to be prepared, which can include; sweeping/ blowing/masking/crack sealing & surface repairs.
Drains are installed to remove surface water, with edging being added to complete the aesthetics if requested!
A single layer of hot surface dressing emulsion (tar) is applied to the surface, covered with natural stone and rolled.
Tar & Chip surface dressing is an excellent way to extend the life of an existing driveway, greatly improving the appearance; a traditional look which can be made decorative.
Natural Stone, including granite is available in a range of colours & sizes. Typically in 6mm, 10mm or 14mm natural gravel, providing a pleasing alternative to the Black finish of Tarmac and Asphalt.
We suggest a double dressing to provide even further longevity.
At GB Driveways we are equipped to undertake a whole range of resurfacing jobs, from a small patching job to creating a new drive/roadway. All of which can be hand or machine rolled.
Tarmac is durable, long lasting and it’s easy to repair any damage.
Asphalt laying is a multi-layered process. Hot rolled asphalt provides a smooth black finish that can be complimented with natural, clear or red chippings.
The Tar & Chip process is weather dependant but Tarmac can be used in its place, making our Resurfacing services ‘Year round’!
We are able to supply /lay loose gravel, a popular choice for driveways and hard landscaping. It’s cheap and easy to lay and can provide a quick solution for low maintenance, pleasing look.
Gravel is available in a wide variety of sizes, colours and textures.
We are able to supply and build a variety of patios and paving, offering a contemporary or a more traditional style to suit you.
A patio can add value to your property, effective design using gravel, bricks and pebbles can create your own personal space.
All patios are installed by a fully qualified team who will take time to discuss your requirements in detail and will manage your project from initial design through to completion. We are passionate about making sure the whole experience is a smooth one, ensuring our customer service is second to none at all times.
